Globe Food Equipment mixers, slicers, and scales are workhorses in bakeries, pizzerias, and restaurant kitchens — which also means their stands and bases take a lot of abuse over years of daily use. “My Globe stand broke” usually means one of a few specific things, and in almost every case a replacement part or component is available.
What “stand” usually refers to
- Mixer base/stand assembly: the heavy cast frame a planetary or spiral mixer (Globe SP or GSM series) sits on — the part that houses the gearbox and motor mount.
- Leveling feet or casters: the point of contact with the floor, which crack or strip out from years of a fully loaded mixer rolling or vibrating in place.
- Slicer or scale worktable stand:a separate stand accessory some Globe equipment sits on, distinct from the mixer's own integrated base.
Common failure points
On planetary and spiral mixers specifically, the parts most likely to need replacement around the base/stand are the motor mount bolts and bushings (from vibration over time), the gearbox housing seals (visible as oil residue at the base), and leveling feet or casters (visible as the unit rocking or sitting unevenly).
Find your model and serial number first
Before ordering anything, find the data plate — on most Globe mixers it's on the front or side of the base, near the motor housing. Record the full model number (e.g. SP20, SP30, GSM130) and serial number.
