Ice-O-Matic Ice Machine Replacement Parts: Troubleshooting & Where to Buy

Ice-O-Matic cube and flake machines are common in bars, hotels, and quick-service kitchens because they're compact and relatively simple to service. Most service calls come down to airflow, water flow, or scale — in that order of likelihood — before you get to an actual failed part.

Diagnose by symptom

• No ice at all: check the water supply and inlet valve first, then the bin thermostat (a stuck-closed bin thermostat reads the bin as full and shuts the machine down even when it's empty).
• Ice production has dropped off gradually: almost always scale on the evaporator — see our descaling guide — or a dirty condenser air filter restricting airflow.
• Machine runs constantly, ice looks thin or cloudy: usually scale buildup on the evaporator plate, sometimes combined with a low refrigerant charge.
• Water leaking from the cabinet: check the water pump seal and the drain line for a clog before assuming a cracked reservoir.

Find your model and serial number first

The data plate is mounted inside the machine, usually on the side wall near the water reservoir or behind the front access panel.
