International Shipping for Commercial Kitchen Parts: Rates, Duties & Dispatch Times

How dispatch, delivery speed, and customs duties work when you're ordering from outside the US.

Last updated:

Pro Kitchen Spares ships commercial kitchen parts to customers outside the United States on request. Every international order is quoted individually — stock, carrier, customs paperwork, and delivery speed — before it ships, so you know the full landed picture up front rather than discovering fees after the fact.

Dispatch time vs. delivery speed — two different clocks

These are easy to conflate, so it's worth separating them clearly:

  • Dispatch (processing) time — 1-2 business days: how long it takes us to confirm stock, prepare customs paperwork, and hand your order to a carrier once you've approved a quote and paid. This is the same for every international order regardless of how fast you want delivery, and there is no extra charge for it— it's processing time, not a shipping tier.
  • Delivery (transit) speed — chosen at checkout: once your order is dispatched, it travels on whichever shipping speed you selected — Standard (free, within 30 days), Expedited (9-12 business days), or Express (5-8 business days). These are the same three speeds used for domestic orders; see Shipping & Delivery for the full breakdown. International transit can run slightly longer than the domestic window for the same speed once a shipment clears customs, which we'll flag on your quote if it applies to your destination.

For comparison: domestic (US) orders dispatch the same or next business day rather than 1-2 days, since no customs paperwork is involved. If your international repair is time-critical, say so in your email and we'll prioritize the fastest available carrier and delivery speed.

How to request an international shipment

  1. Find the part(s) you need in the catalog (or email us your equipment's model/serial number if you're not sure which part you need — see our part-identification guide).
  2. Email info@prokitchenspares.com with the part names/SKUs, quantities, and your full destination address including country.
  3. We confirm stock and reply with a shipping quote — carrier cost, available delivery speeds, and estimated transit time, separate from any duties or taxes due on arrival.
  4. Once you approve and pay, the order dispatches within 1-2 business days, then travels on the delivery speed you chose.

Duties, taxes, and customs

Import duties, taxes, and customs brokerage fees charged by your destination country are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in the item price or the shipping quote we send. These vary by country and by the type of part being shipped, so we recommend budgeting for them separately from the order total. See the “International” section of our Shipping & Delivery page for how this fits into overall lead times, and our FAQ for other shipping questions.

Freight vs. parcel for large parts

Small parts ship by standard international parcel. Larger items — full rack sets, cast-iron grate collections, or door assemblies — ship via insured freight, the same as our domestic insured freight service, just routed internationally. Freight quotes take slightly longer to prepare because they depend on crating and destination port/airport access — factor an extra day into your request if you're ordering a large assembly.

Tracking & address changes

You'll receive a tracking link as soon as the carrier picks up your order, the same as domestic orders. We can adjust a shipping address at no charge before dispatch; once an international order has left our warehouse, address changes may not be possible depending on the carrier and destination country's customs rules.
